Every once in a while you stumble upon a group of people working together to make their scene better. A scene where everyone is pitching in and contributing to it's growth. A scene where there is no fighting and it's always 100% about the music. I'm proud to say that this is my scene. I've recently relocated to Indianapolis, IN but Champaign-Urbana is my scene and my home.
If you have ever been lucky enough to attend a show in Champaign-Urbana you will know that all of this is true. Even though small, the scene there has grown tremendously over the past year and a half. The shows can get rowdy at times but never due to drama, rowdy only due to the passion that everyone has.
My scene has been thriving on house shows for most of my 6 years living there. As of this past summer most of these houses are gone. Together they are working together to create an all-ages punk collective. Champaign-Urbana is a scene that needs to exist. For this reason, all proceeds from the
C-U Collective Benefit Distro will go to help them in their endeavours.
